A Dragon daughter is not desired because she will not willingly submit to the Confucian "three virtues for women" which are that a daughter obey her father, a wife obey her husband, and an old woman obey her eldest son. Thanks to the women's movement, modern Dragon women also can go forth and succeed. Regardless of gender, Dragons tend to marry later in life, if at all, since they are unwilling to to let go of adventures and dreams to live within the confines of an ordinary domestic life.
